🎭 The Danger of “Staying Strong” (Even When You're Falling Apart)

Hello Reader,

You don’t need to fake it. You’re allowed to feel it.

We’ve all said it:
“Just stay strong.”
“Everything happens for a reason.”
“Look on the bright side.”

But here’s what I want you to know:

Forced positivity can be its own kind of prison.

If we’re always trying to skip the hard emotions, we skip the healing too.

As we move into the reflective season of fall, I invite you to feel it all.
Joy. Sadness. Uncertainty. Hope. Confusion. All of it.

When we skip over our sadness, push past our frustration, or pretend we’re fine when we’re clearly not… we don’t heal. We just hide.

And I get it—feeling it all can be overwhelming, especially when you’re already carrying so much. But pushing emotions down doesn’t make them disappear. It just drains your energy more quietly.

So today, we’re not going to power through.
We’re going to pause.
Breathe.
And gently check in with ourselves.

🎨 Today’s Reflection Prompt:
What feeling have I been skipping or stuffing down lately—and what might it need from me right now?

Let this be a moment of honesty without judgment. You don’t need to fix it. Just name it. Acknowledge it. Be with it. That’s where the healing begins.

If this stirred something in you, reply with Feel and I’ll send you the exact journaling prompts that have helped my clients move through stuck emotions and into real healing.

A woman with blonde hair stands on rocky terrain at sunrise, arms outstretched toward the horizon. She wears a light, flowing white top, symbolizing freedom, renewal, and openness to possibility.

Hello Reader, Find Your Fizz Before the Finish Line ⚡ If your Q4 energy is running on fumes — trust me, you’re not the only one. This is that time of year when focus fizzles, motivation fades, and even the most driven among us could use a reset. That’s why I’m beyond excited to share something very special — and close to my heart. I’ve teamed up with two incredible women entrepreneurs I deeply respect (and call my friends), Angie Redmon and Rita Ernst. All three of us made bold midlife...

A relaxed dog lies on a hardwood floor in front of a patterned armchair, bathed in warm afternoon sunlight streaming through a window that overlooks a quiet city street.

Hello Reader, Let’s play a little game—close your laptop, take a deep breath, and for just a few minutes, pretend the to-do list doesn’t exist. (Because right now, it doesn’t have to.) The truth is, I’ve spent most of my life doing. Building a career. Raising four daughters. Launching new businesses. Taking care of everyone else. Somewhere along the way, I got really good at productivity… but not always at peace. Then one recent morning, I looked over at Lincoln sprawled out in a sunny patch...

A smiling woman prepares colorful goodie bags at a table surrounded by candles, cookies, and folded t-shirts while a friendly brown and black dog watches beside her. Soft bubbles float in the air, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere.

Hello Reader, If you were to walk into my house right now, you’d think I was throwing a party for 50 of my closest friends, with a few thousand bubbles, and a small mountain of ribbon. 🎀 There are candles everywhere (I’m convinced they multiply when I’m not looking), stacks of T's for the Fizzwear line, and enough snacks to fuel a small army—or one woman deep in Ladies Night prep. Lincoln the dog is trying to do quality control on the snack pile and I’m over here trying to decide if the...
